Mill Tech Industries is an innovative company providing leading-edge, high speed lumber handling equipment to the forest industry.
Based out of our Salmon Arm BC facility, you will provide labour to support our highly skilled manufacturing team consisting of Millwrights & Fabricators. This position could lead to an apprenticeship for the right applicant.
Job duties would include:
- Adhere to and promote company safety standards.
- Operation of equipment such as forklift & company truck.
- Use of large fabrication tools such as drill press, bandsaw, etc.
- Use of power hand tools such as drills, grinders, etc.
- Industrial painting.
- Assistance in shipping and receiving.
Training & Skill Set:
- Physical ability to perform labour intensive occupation.
- Class 5 driver’s license.
- Work well with minimal supervision.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience in a fabrication shop would an asset.
- High School Diploma or equivalency would be an asset.
- Welding tickets would be an asset.
- Knowledge of sawmill equipment would be an asset.
- Basic steel knowledge and warehouse experience would be an asset.
- Experience or tickets for rigging, forklift, overhead crane operation would be an asset.
The position is full time with competitive pay and benefits after passing probation.
