Parts Sales Representative

Location:
Salmon Arm, BC

Mill Tech Industries is an innovative company providing leading-edge, high speed lumber handling equipment to the forest industry. Based out of our Salmon Arm, BC facility, we are currently looking to add another full-time person to our Parts Sales Team.

Job duties would include:

  • Adhere to and promote company safety standards.
  • Take in-coming calls and work with our customers to determine their requirements for replacement parts.
  • Provide price and delivery information to our customers in a timely and professional manor.
  • Coordinate timely cost-effective delivery of parts to our customers sites globally.
  • Build relationships with our customers to make sure we are their first call for replacement parts.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure we meet our customers expectations.
  • Work with engineering to continuously improve Mill Tech parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Training & Skill Set:

  • Technical training in mechanical design in college or university preferred.
  • Experience in Customer sales and service would be an asset.
  • Experience or ability to read technical drawings would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of data base systems and Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of sawmill equipment would be an asset.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Logistics or import/export experience would be an asset.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure.
  • Methodical, with superior attention to detail using sound judgment skills.

Labourer

Location:
Salmon Arm, BC

Mill Tech Industries is an innovative company providing leading-edge, high speed lumber handling equipment to the forest industry.

Based out of our Salmon Arm BC facility, you will provide labour to support our highly skilled manufacturing team consisting of Millwrights & Fabricators. This position could lead to an apprenticeship for the right applicant.

Job duties would include:

  • Adhere to and promote company safety standards.
  • Operation of equipment such as forklift & company truck.
  • Use of large fabrication tools such as drill press, bandsaw, etc.
  • Use of power hand tools such as drills, grinders, etc.
  • Industrial painting.
  • Assistance in shipping and receiving.

Training & Skill Set:

  • Physical ability to perform labour intensive occupation.
  • Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Work well with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous experience in a fabrication shop would an asset.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency would be an asset.
  • Welding tickets would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of sawmill equipment would be an asset.
  • Basic steel knowledge and warehouse experience would be an asset.
  • Experience or tickets for rigging, forklift, overhead crane operation would be an asset.

Mechanical Designer/Draftsperson

Location:
Salmon Arm, BC

Mill Tech Industries is an innovative company providing leading-edge, high speed lumber handling equipment to the forest industry. Based out of our Salmon Arm, BC facility, we are currently looking to add another full time person to our Design Team.

Job duties would include:

  • Adhere to and promote company safety standards.
  • Mechanical Design and Drafting.
  • Producing CAD production shop detail drawings in AutoCAD and perhaps some Solid Works.
  •  Equipment inspections as part of the manufacturing process.
  • Depending on experience, engineering tasks including component selection and sizing.

 

Training & Skill Set:

  • Proficient working with AutoCAD with minimum supervision.
  • Technical training in mechanical design in college or university.
  • Knowledge of sawmill equipment would be an asset.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure.
  • Methodical, with superior attention to detail using sound judgment skills.
